Off Road Buggy Racing Experience – Kildare Off Road Buggy Racing offers an adrenalin pumping experience, racing high speed buggies on our purpose built super special stage track that produces an awesome driving experience. Experience high speeds, the awesome jumps and sliding action in the latest and safest 'state of the art' purpose built Rage Buggies, powered by robust Honda V-Twin petrol engines, giving strong performance from its 620cc capacity. The buggies have FIA approved racing safety features inbuilt, including safety harnesses and racing seats. Decked out in your full face helmet, overalls and strapped into a 5 point race harness you are completely safe to unleash your inner speed demon and enjoy an exciting and competitive racing challenge! Our challenging one and a half kilometre track is purpose designed for maximum thrills and safety. It features various jumps, corners, bends, chicanes and hairpins that will really test your driving skills. Drivers will soon learn how to throw the buggy sideways through the challenging corners. Adding to the buzz, your opponents will be in your peripheral vision through most of the race. All of the circuit can be viewed from the pits and spectator area, so you can still view the action whilst waiting for your races. Every driver is guaranteed at least 15 laps, with the fastest three drivers getting to compete in one final exhilarating race to the finish line. All drivers receive full tuition, track and safety briefing. Helmets, overalls, gloves and waterproofs are all provided. You just need to bring an old pair of trainers to drive in. RACE FORMAT: Dressed in your racing suit you will be fully briefed before driving our buggies. You will then be taken on a walk of our 1.5 km track. Your driving experience will start with 3 Practice Laps as an ideal introduction to driving the circuit and handling characteristics of the buggies. With each lap, your confidence will grow as you get to know how the buggy handles and learn about picking the best lines of the circuit while getting plenty of sideways action!! Then the real fun starts, it's time to get airborne!! You are briefed and will then complete your timed race session. You will complete 6 timed laps on this section, racing over jumps and navigating tight turns. After a quick pit-stop it's back in the buggy for another 6 timed laps. The stop watch is on so don't spin out! Only the quickest drivers will battle in our grand final. We provide refreshments in our spectators' area where you can view other driver's performances between your races. DURATION: 2 HOURS LOCATION: MAYNOOTH, KILDARE Location: Maynooth, Kildare Drivers must be over 17 years old. Drivers must have driving experience. Drivers must hold a valid learner permit or full driving licence. The buggies offer a fast, furious and rough ride for anyone who loves a thrill. All passengers and drivers are required to sign a waiver of liability form (ages 17 - 18 years will need a parent/guardian to sign on the day).
